glass ceramic for wood burners and supply Cambridgeshire, Leistershire,
West Norfolk, South Lincolnshire, Huntingdon, Bedfordshire, East
Anglia, and the East Midlands.
We carry out new glass
work or the replacement of old or broken glass. We offer mirror
work, bevelled or plain, fitted or supply only. Double glazed
units are made in our workshop, clear and patterned glass, leaded,
Georgian bars, and gas filled to order.
Low Emissivity Glass
Emissivity is the rate heat is radiated through an item. Low emissive
glasses have been developed to provide increased thermal insulation
This has a coating on the surface that faces into the air gap of
double glazed units. The microscopic coating of the pane of glass
makes a difference to its performance by inhibiting the radiation
of heat from within a room and instead the heat is reflected back
into the room by the coating.
We stock, cuts and processes
a large selection of float glass products - the name ‘float’
being derived from the way the glass is manufactured. 2mm float
glass is mainly used in photo and picture frames. 3mm, 4mm, 6mm,
8mm and 10mm float glass are commonly used in various glazing situations.
In addition to the above we stock other sizes 5mm, 12mm, 15mm, 19mm
and 25mm which in general are for more specialist uses.
We carry a range of Pilkington
patterned and decorative glass and supply any current range
within a few days. We also supply toughened
and safety glass
All glass is supplied
cut to size. If we do not have a particular glass or pattern in
stock we can get it within a day or two.
